Frequently Asked Questions

What is website Searchability?

Is your site searchable?
Making your site searchable is a time consuming process that involves coding and composing well all of the text on your site. Searchability is more or less making your site friendly to search engines. If your site is not coded correctly, the search engines will not see you. Your home page or the first page that loads when user goes to your URL (www.dmd-studio.com) is the same page that the search engines see first. Your home page needs to have all the keywords, keyword phrases, and text to support the keyword that your targeted audience would use.

When a user enters a keyword in a search engine, the search engine will list all the sites that use that keyword, If the keyword is used correctly, and if your site is listed on that search engine.

This is where all the work goes to making your site come up at the top of the list. Keywords need to be relevant to your site content, or you could be banned from that search engine.

You only get 5 to 10 keywords and/or phrases and need to have those within the meta tags and the body of the page. The more references to your keywords and phrases the better. Most of the time web designers need to change and add text in order to get the keyword count up. Keyword count helps relevance. Search engines like relevance and will place your site accordingly to other sites.

The more relevant your site is to the keyword the higher up the list your site will be. It helps to have good link popularity and traffic too.
